About us
Founded in 2009, School Aid South Africa supports the advancement of education in South Africa by providing sustainable and welcoming school libraries, well-stocked with quality books to meet the literacy needs of children and young people in disadvantaged communities. We also seek to bridge the learning gap through activities that promote literacy and encourage reading.
Through our partnerships, we have been able to supply thousands of books annually to schools across Gauteng and Eastern & Western Cape, enhancing the educational opportunities of over 25,000 South African learners.
We believe literacy is the foundation of lifelong learning as well as a doorway to a life full of possibilities. When we help someone to acquire literacy skills, we are empowering them to access better opportunities in life to break the poverty cycle.
